Debra Ruzinsky works in cast glass and mixed-media, producing objects that reference monumentality and kitsch, mixing distopian and utopian visions, investigating belief and meaning.
Debra was Visiting Assistant Professor of Glass at RIT from 2008-2009 and has guest lectured at Virginia Commonwealth University and taught workshops at the University of Oregon, The Washington Glass School, and Oatka Glass School. Her work is included in the RIT Wallace Library Purchase Prize Collection, the Seto City Museum Collection , and the Glasmeseet Ebeltoft in Denmark, and has been exhibited at Urban Glass in Brooklyn, NY, and at Hawk Galleries as part of the exhibition BIGG: Breakthrough Ideas in Global Glass (sponsored by Steuben.)
